Goodreads is social book-tracking app that allows you to engage with your friends and extended community through a shared love for reading. As an avid reader and Goodreads user, I've long been frustrated by the app's unintuitive experience. I conducted a redesign focusing on usability and created prototypes in Figma.

In user interviews, 5 of 5 users used the main feed to find new books and cited friends as a main source of book recommendations. Meanwhile, 60 percent of users mentioned that the main feed was poorly organized.

80 percent of users shown a competitor's book page, found tags helpful. 91 percent of users interviewed named genre as one of the main considerations when choosing a new book.
